About the Artist

I'm Brandon Vukelic, a glass artist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. My passion for art began in childhood, evolving from drawing to graphic design, and eventually, I discovered the captivating world of glass in my twenties. Inspired by glass artists online, I dove into this medium, building a kiln with my father's help and experimenting with the vibrant colors and effects of glass, especially when working with precious metals.

In 2017, a local (and now friend) requested a memorial for her cat, this introduced me to the meaningful work of memorial glass art. This experience inspired me to offer personalized pieces that honor loved ones, drawing inspiration from the stories and photos shared by clients. I create memorial pendants, marbles, and bracelets that can be worn, carried, or displayed, ensuring each piece is uniquely special.

What Memorial Art Means to Me

It is an honor to create memorials and allows me to offer comfort and connection to those grieving, preserving the ashes of loved ones within glass as a cherished remembrance. The transformative nature of glass—its fluidity, interplay with light, and ever-changing form—reflects the unique soul being honored. Each piece is crafted to be passed down through generations, serving as a lasting tribute.

My goal is to continually refine my craft, exploring new techniques and ideas to create pieces that are not only visually striking but also deeply meaningful.
